I Think A Lost City Should Stay Lost

The Knowledge Of Those Who Came Before Could Neither Be Disseminated Or Destroyed. Its Power Would Be A Dangerous Tool In The Wrong Hands, But Would Also Insure Against Future Cataclysm. At That Time We Chose To Maintain It With Writings Preserved In Extant Locations.

rab the tip in the purchase screen before you begin the mission. Without it you won't get all the treasure. Head to the water and turn left up the ramp. Shoot a rope arrow into the shuttered window at the top of the building on your left, climb up and jump onto the rooftop to the west. Drop down into the area with the wagon, collecting a gold plate and cup from behind the crates and a rope arrow and two broadhead arrows from the opposite corner. (Total 75) Return to the area on the other side of the roof. Getting into the Lost City is easy enough. Move ahead to the ramp on the other side. Turn left. Jump into the water and use the stone key to open the passage. Swim its entire length. Look up for air pockets. Let the water carry you over the waterfall then climb out. Run past the first group of spiders and jump across the water to the east opening. Slay your way through several spiders. Stay on the higher platforms while you fire broadhead arrows down on them. Drop down to the lowest platform and follow it to a fork. Turn left and time your run to get past the flame jets without being singed. When you reach the top of a building run northeast to a hole and drop in. Head south and grab the cups from the opening. (Total 105) Any burricks you run into can either be blackjacked or attacked by repeated sword thrusts while circling them to avoid damage by their belches. Work your way west and follow the steps down to the next floor. Head east and exit out the first opening on your right. You have the option here of heading all the way east and taking the second right, battling four burricks and eventually finding a diamond, a necklace and an ornate cup, but I would advise against it. (Total 345) Outside, turn right and head up the green mound to grab a gem. (Total 395) Follow the path south then make a quick left into the building. Bang the burrick when it passes. Walk back out and head south. Mantle the side of the building you were just in.

Look inside the window for a gold cup on the floor. (Total 420) Above you grab the fire arrow. Fall back to the ground. Head south and around the turn. Just before the intersection turn right into a building and climb the steps. Get the gold plate from among the bones. (Total 470) Go back to the intersection and head north. Turn right. As you pass the green mound on your left climb it and mantle atop the building. Jump/mantle (run, then press your jump key, and hold it until you are safely atop the next roof) to the building to your east. Jump south to the well lit building. Fall into the crack in the roof. Collect the three fire arrows then return to the street heading all the way east to the lava pool. Mantle the building to your left, enter the next building and carefully climb down the stairs. Grab all three fire arrows then return to the intersection, heading south this time. Hide in the building directly ahead. Blackjack the passing burrick. Head west then turn left. You may encounter more burricks or if you're lucky the fire elementals may have blasted them. Continue south and enter the last building on your left, before the turn. Get the tiara from among the bones. (Total 570) You can either continue down the path, fight fire elementals (use your water arrows) then make a turn to the south and follow the path around or try this: Head back the way you came, but as you turn north to head to the intersection, mantle the short stubby building on your right.

Work your way across the rooftops heading to the northwest corner. Once there jump south until you can drop down safely. Head out the west opening. Follow it to a broken set of iron gates. Make sure the two patrolling fire elementals have past before trying to do this or douse them if you bought some extra water arrows. Face north and mantle the cracked apart bricks slightly left of the crack in the other wall. Destroy the fire elemental on the other side with a water arrow. Jump across to a green area on your right and check all three buildings. In the front of the building on the right, just past the grassy mound, is a moss arrow. One building contains a quiver of arrows, the next a gold neck piece, the third has a fire arrow. (Total 720) Hop back across heading straight south. Keep going south until you reach the temple. Douse the two fire elementals inside. Up on the walls are blue plate shaped jewels. Get them all, 23 in total including the one on the floor. (Total 1065) Use the left east exit. Turn left, then right, then left into a low opening. Inside, get the two fire arrows. Return to the main room. Use either west exit and approach the stage. If you bought the tip before the mission started you can grab the two masks from the stage for treasure. (Total 1305) Spin around and climb the seats. Head south. Turn right then right again and go out the crack in the wall. Follow the narrow passage past the roof of the main room, and on to a series of similarly shaped buildings. It looks like a dead end at the lava flow but it isn't.

A Lever? You Call This Treasure?!

On the north end climb up the green rock and mantle the building. Jump from roof to roof heading southeast. Time it so that the mage has his back to you before landing by the ruined campsite. Search the site carefully for one of the two Keeper medallions, a coin purse among the bones, a rope arrow, and a fire arrow. (Total 1375) Look west for a fallen column. Hop across to it and look down and to your right. On the cavern edge is a gas arrow and a diamond. (Total 1425) Continue south. Leave the mages alone just sneak down the steps grabbing the fire arrow on your right from the burning flames. Club or kill the patrolling mage. Yes, that's right. You can kill on this mission. Fire one rope arrow into the farthest wooden beam and cross. With care, you can even reclaim the rope arrow. Climb down the opening in the southwest corner. Just before you step on the dead mage, crouch to avoid a head full of pain. Look around and under the dead mage for three water arrows. Continue south and stop short of the steps. Club the patrolling mage. Turn left. See that mage? Club him too. Take the lever from the pedestal, it's important. Now go south down the steps. Get the fire arrows from both burning fires. Kill the mages on your right, a couple of broadheads and sword gashes will do the trick. Grab the two urns they were guarding, on your right as you enter the room, and the parchment from the floor on the left. Spin around and get the third urn from the other side of the room. (Total 1715) Get out of the crypt, back across the lava flow, all the way to the stage. Leave the stage for the formerly jeweled main room and exit north.

Lever Is As Lever Does

Turn left up a steep hill and follow a passage heading south. Keep going south past the large lava pool. When you turn right look inside the small building by the lava for three fire arrows. Continue south. The rooftop of the next house on your left holds two water arrows. Continue on the path to the west. As you cross the narrow bridge heading west, look to your left for four water arrows. Hug the cavern wall to get them, you'll need them. Keep following the passage, through a building, until finally you reach what is left of the coliseum. Head east to the fire. Turn right, then right into the first room. Grab the urns and the parchment. (Total 1925) Exit and sneak north past the fire. Enter the first room on your left and take the urns and green thing from the floor. (Total 1985) Head west and grab the tiara from the furthest window ledge. (Total 2085) Walk back east to the room you just visited then east into the other room. Nab the urns on the floor (Total 2145) Crawl behind the bed and down the ladder. More parchment, green things, and a gold ring in the chest. (Total 2405) Return to hall heading north. Turn right and sneak downstairs. As you turn west look down and to the right for an opening. Get inside to find a gas arrow, fire arrow, and health potion. Defeat the mages, then use the lever in the machine to spin the gears.

Go back up stairs, north across the small landing, then spin left. Clobber the mage. Turn around and look up. Shoot a rope arrow into the wooden beam and climb up. Search the rooms to the south for urns, and those odd green things. (Total 2635) The room to the east has another precursor mask. (Total 2755) The room to the southwest contains a crown on the floor near the opening. (Total 2880) Hop back down and west across the bridge onto the extended landing. Follow the path to a camp site. Look for the second Keeper medallion, some rope arrows, and a water arrow. Continue following the path to a statue in lava surrounded by buildings. Crouch and enter the building closest to the lava. Inside, two silver nuggets. (Total 2980) In the other building, use a rope arrow to get onto the second floor and outside. You can get onto the roof of this building by mantling the right side of the broken bricks, then look for a diamond and two fire arrows in the southwest corner. (Total 3030) Drop east, behind the statue, and follow the passage to the temple containing the fire talisman.

Take the stairs as high as you can go, nab the gold cup and parchment to the left of the bed, then climb out the window. (Total 3205) Follow the ledge around three corners. Look up. Fire a rope arrow into the beam above the opening. Climb up. Nab the talisman. Now the fun part. Leave the lost city by working your way back to the waterfall where you fought the spiders. Expect to find many more fire elementals on your way back but you should have plenty of water arrows to handle them. Don't feel you have to use water arrows on every one you see. Elementals have eyes which they must see you with. If an elemental is moving away from you, it has its "back" turned and can be passed safely. To get back just think about: Leave the coliseum. Head north. Make a right at the broken gate. Northeast, then north through the burrick city. Figure out the rest.
